Deep Cold sold!

I was delighted to hear from a couple who got married at Lauderdale House just before my exhibition there in 2023. They remembered this painting and bought it for their new home.

This mixture of palette knife and large brushstrokes was inspired by a moment when sea swimming, pausing to look back at land. The exhilarating feeling of being at the mercy of the elements and just out of reach of safety.
