Time to think
Not long ago I had eye surgery and couldn’t look at screens for a while. I had bad double vision with my best bet at creating a single image being to look down. So what to do? I had a lump of wax lying around in my studio for a while which turned out to be the answer!
Here’s the wax model of my latest version of ‘The Thinker’, ready to be melted down to create my first ever small bronze sculpture.
The experience has made me truly grateful for the eyesight I do have (even if the double vision means I’ve got a bit too much of it!) A big thank you to #castlefineartsfoundry who will be casting the model, for the free wax and lots of helpful advice. If anyone wants to have a go, get in touch with them!
